Growatt OLED Display not responding – Troubleshooting

Disclaimer: This content is for informational and educational purposes only. The diagnostic steps described are suggestions, not an official service manual.

Phenomenon: OLED screen remains blank, frozen, or buttons do not respond despite inverter operating (LEDs active, power production possible).

Technical Causes:

  • Display ribbon cable loose or damaged.
  • Temporary software glitch.
  • Display hardware failure.

Diagnostic Procedure:

  • Power cycle inverter fully (disconnect DC/AC, wait 10 minutes).
  • Observe if display initializes during startup sequence.
  • Check for visible damage or condensation on screen.

Resolution:

  • Restart may resolve temporary issues.
  • If blank but inverter functions, monitoring via app remains available.
  • Persistent failure requires display module replacement.

WARNING: Maintenance and repair of PV systems, high-voltage DC, and AC components must only be performed by certified professionals with valid electrical qualifications (e.g., SEP/G1 in Poland, or local European equivalents). Unauthorized opening of the inverter housing will void the warranty and carries a risk of electric shock or fire.

In case of persistent hardware failure, the only authorized path for repair is contacting the official Growatt Service Department.
