Phenomenon: The inverter or plant status shows Offline in the ShinePhone app, despite the system operating normally.
Technical Causes:
- Datalogger (WiFi dongle) not connected to the local router.
- Server communication failure due to network issues or firewall.
- Datalogger hardware fault or loose connection.
- Inverter power off or communication port issue.
Diagnostic Procedure:
- Check datalogger LED: Solid blue = connected to server; flashing blue = connected to router but not server; red = no router connection.
- Verify inverter is powered and operating (OLED display active).
- Confirm internet access on the router and no recent network changes.
Resolution:
- If LED red/flashing: Reconfigure WiFi settings via app hotspot mode.
- Restart router and datalogger (remove/reinsert dongle).
- Ensure router allows outbound connections on ports 80, 443, and 5279.
- Replace dongle if LED remains off or persistently red.
WARNING: Maintenance and repair of PV systems, high-voltage DC, and AC components must only be performed by certified professionals with valid electrical qualifications (e.g., SEP/G1 in Poland, or local European equivalents). Unauthorized opening of the inverter housing will void the warranty and carries a risk of electric shock or fire.
In case of persistent hardware failure, the only authorized path for repair is contacting the official Growatt Service Department.
