ShineWiFi-X Step-by-Step Configuration Guide

Phenomenon: New or reset ShineWiFi-X dongle requires initial setup for monitoring via ShinePhone app.

Technical Causes: N/A (configuration procedure).

Diagnostic Procedure:

  • Ensure phone connected to 2.4GHz WiFi network.
  • Download and open ShinePhone app; create/log in to account.

Resolution:

  • Insert dongle; wait for flashing red LED.
  • In app: Select “Add Datalogger” > Scan QR/barcode on dongle for SN/CC.
  • Choose hotspot mode: Connect phone to dongle AP (SSID starts with AP_, password often 12345678).
  • Return to app; enter home router SSID/password > Apply > Restart dongle.
  • Confirm LED flashes blue (connected); check app for online status.

WARNING: Maintenance and repair of PV systems, high-voltage DC, and AC components must only be performed by certified professionals with valid electrical qualifications (e.g., SEP/G1 in Poland, or local European equivalents). Unauthorized opening of the inverter housing will void the warranty and carries a risk of electric shock or fire.

In case of persistent hardware failure, the only authorized path for repair is contacting the official Growatt Service Department.
